Olly's Astrophotography Pages

I have created this web site to share my enjoyable, but challenging delve into the world of Astrophotography. I am by no means an expert, infact quite the opposite, i am finding the learning curve long, and sometimes frustrating but extremely enjoyable. I will be sharing my images and equipment used, on the relevent pages, and don't forget to check out the DIY section, for some great ideas to save some money. Adding an 8v power output to my Power mount hub

I am in the process of adding an 8v power socket to my power mount hub, shown below, this will enable me to power my Canon 1000D from the hub, so i can take out the battery and have less heat moving around in the camera.

I will be removing the insides from an old battery and just connecting a wire to the contacts in the battery, this wire will then be plugged into the 8v power socket...pictures to follow of the project when complete.
