This image was taken from my back garden in rural Leicestershire UK on 6/02/2013,using a modified Canon 1000D With a 28-80mm lens on a fixed tripod @28mm, with ISO 800 and the aperture set @ F3.5, Daylight WB, also an Astronomik CLS LP filter was used. Image was captured using Astrophotography Tool (APT), picture consists of 50 x 30 second light images, plus 10 x 30 sec darks, stacked in Startrails software, processing in Photoshop CS5. Very little processing, in fact star colour is untouched. |
I have created this web site to share my enjoyable, but challenging delve into the world of Astrophotography. I am by no means an expert, infact quite the opposite, i am finding the learning curve long, and sometimes frustrating but extremely enjoyable.
